Emma Irwin is founder and principal consultant at Open Practice Consulting. She has worked at the intersection of openness, education, science, and data for over 20 years, including leadership roles at Microsoft's Open Source Programs Office (OSPO), Mozilla's Open Innovation Team, and Royal Roads University. She is co-chair of the CHAOSS AI Alignment for Open Source Working Group. Speaking credits include FOSDEM (2026), Open Source Summit, CHAOSScon, Drupalcon, and Creative Commons Conference.
