Dr. Suhayya (Sue) Abu-Hakima

Dr. Sue Abu-Hakima is Co-Founder and CEO of Alstari Corporation, focusing on privacy, safety, and security in AI. She is a serial entrepreneur with award-winning international acclaim, holding 48 international patents related to AI, security, public safety, and messaging. A graduate of both McGill and Carleton Universities (Masters and PhD in AI), her first company, AmikaNow!, was launched as a spin-off from NRC in 1998 and focused on automatic content analysis. Its compliance business was acquired by Entrust. Her second company, Amika Mobile, addressed public safety and security with an intelligent agent platform and was acquired by Genasys in 2020, where she served as VP.
